Introducing.....Kaselyn Lanae Connell

Kaselyn Lanae Connell , born August 26, 2010, weighed 8 lbs., 2 oz. and was 21" long!!

Shandi called me and let me know after the excitement settled that she and baby were fine.

Kaselyn is just beautiful!! I love babies, they make you step back and look at how life begins and you get to see this little person become into their own...

CONGRATS, and all the BEST WISHES in the WORLD!

A Connell Addition

Well, I am getting 2 blogs in today! This is a special one, my best friend, Shandi (Ellis) Connell, who lives in Eustis, FL., called me today to tell me she is having her baby girl, Kaselynn Lanae, TOMORROW!! Yes, tomorrow! I can not wait but, I am so sad because, I can not be there for her! Here is a picture of me and Shandi back in the day....

Shandi, married a guy that we met in Joplin, MO., he is a pilot for Alliegent Air, and is stationed in Florida.
I borrowed some picutres from her and here is a sneek peek at Miss Kaselynn Lanae Connell.

One Saturday and a BIG Birthday Surprise.....

First off I will apologize for not being at the top of my blogging..... It has been so hectic and our weekends are getting ready to get more jammed packed, with weddings, baby showers and wedding showers! Yikes! But,  I love happy ending or should I say"beginnings". .....

So Saturday 08-21-2010 was the Arkansas Razorback Fan Day, in Fayetteville, Ar., and this is something that Shawn & I were looking forward to for months, nore so Shawn! lol! But, Shawn ended up having to work, just as he thought he would, and I didn't want to go fight a crowd by myself, and especially in that heat, we had planned to go more so to get Coach Bobby Petrino's autograph, and Shawn would have liked to have the whole team including QB Ryan Mallets, but he thought it would be impossible, so we had his hopes set on one or the other. So saturday came and he was off to work and I thought well here is the perfect opportunity to surprise him and get the autograph, so got ready and headed to Fayetteville, at 9:15 a.m. even though they were not sighning autographs til 2 p.m., yes I got there that early, I wanted to ensure that I at least got one of the autographs, since Shawn had his heart set on Coach Petrino's that's where I started out...............

So after taking a few snap shots of the event getting set up I spotted one of the staff members to locate where exactly Coah Petrino would be signing autographs and he pointed me in the correct direction..

And now all I had to do was wait 4 hours........tick toc

But by being so paitent I met some new young friends, named Raqa and Courtney. You will see a picture of Raqa later with someone, however, And while waiting on Bobby to arrive Raqa, went over and snagged Frank Broyles autograph...

So I was the FIRST one in Bobby Petrino's line!! Yes, FIRST!! So 2 o'clock came around and the wait which totally paid off, Bobby was super nice and told me he "would be honored to wish Shawn, Happy Birthday, and after I got a snap shot with the head coach himself!! YAY!!

So FUN!! But, I was more excited to see the look on Shawn's face ....... that is what I couldn't wait to see! Him smiling and being surprised! He does amazing things for me all the time so the heat and wait would be well worth it!! Always is when you know this will mean so much to that special someone.!

So Raqa, had some connections at the front of the Ryan Mallet line, yes the Heisman hopeful, what a double treat if I could score Petrino's and Mallet's autographs, when Shawn thought it would be IMPOSSIBLE!

So enjoy, I pulled off the impossible !

On top of those two signatures I accumilated the rest of the 2010-2011 Arkansas Razorbaks, minus the secondary and special teams ( I ran out of room on the ball),

Along the way everyone was "wishing Shawn a Happy Birthday" it was too funny, they all thought it was pretty cool!!

Needless to say, between the heat and the wait, the day was a "Solid" one, and I wouldn't have done this for anyoneelse, bc no one is more "solid" in my life than Shawn, who I am sure will have the BEST birthday, stayed tuned in October for more birthday pictures! (yes October, I planned ahead) hehe!

School is in session.....

Well it is the week school starts! My favorite girl in the whole wide world Sam, just started her first day of high school. I can't believe that she is in high school!! She has really blossemed into one of the most mature young ladies I have ever known.  She sent some pictures before her first day og high school, we went school shopping a couple of weekd ago before she went to Florida with her dad and her step-mom Jodie and Jodie's family, which Sam..... well we had a great time when we went school shopping she always cracks me up!!  Sam, sends me pic of her outfit including the shoes,,,,, she is just like me the shoes always top off an outfit!! Well I would like to give another BIG Shout out to Dodge who will begin 7 th grade, he is an all-star athlete and is a cute as can be! He is will do great as wellm as I haven't gotten to spend alot of time with him this summer, I did make it on a weekend that I will always remember and Shawn and I got to spend his birthday and a championship title with him! Which is so special! There is nothing or no one that would have kept me from that game,,,,,,, it was AMAZING! So here are a few pics from that day as well enjoy... and that is all I have today. And to Dustin, E-man and Hal, have a great first day of school to!!

You and Me going fihsing in the Dark!

Had an amazing weekend with the sweets!! HE is beyond, everything I could ever ask for in a man! Saturday we slept in did some shopping preparing for out trip to Mexico!! (and saw my cousin Kelly and her fam, doing some school shopping) and went car shopping! We are in the porcess of looking for me an SUV ot Shawn a pick up, which ever we find first! We both agreed on the NEW 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee, but it is alittle more than we want to pay right now so well hold off on that till next year and we'll focus on getting Shawn's new truck...... so anyway after we left the mall,  Shawn was like "how about we do some catfishing later, nothing is in on TV and I just want to spend some time with my baby"... it sounded like a great idea to me and plus we could really catch up on how our week went, and just have our "friend" time... and there is really no one else there but he and I so we get to really focus on our communication.... which I love to hear him talk bc If you really know me you know that I do ALOT of talking! hehe

One BAD Bump......

Well, I have had a busy week. Well, let's jut say motorized vehicles are everyone's best friend. However, my baby sister Megan, had gotten in to a rather bad accident that led her through a fence. I was rather upset considering, that I didn't hear about it til the next day. I just wanted to take this moment and say, all though motorcycles , 4-wheelers, go carts, etc., give one a thrill and sense of living on the edge, one bad BUMP or TURN could cost you more than your willing to pay. Luckily she is okay, needless to say what your about to see. I am so thankful to God for not only looking out for Megan but, her little passenger. Megan, is a very smart girl and I love her more than my own life however, from what I heard and how she protected Khloe, was beyond amazing. Megan, did what she had to do to ensure K was not injuried in that she risked her own well being which caused her to be knocked unconcious as she lost control of the 4-wheeler and went through and fence and thrown into a ditch, in which during all this used her body as a sheild to protect another. She amazes me everyday, on how she could react so quickly.. I ask myself  "what would I have done?" But, needless to say she is okay and they both are home and Khloe doesn't act as if she knows it ever happened.... To Megan, my baby sister and a little angel named Khloe, I am glad yo both are okay and Shawn & I love you both!
